शिक्षा मनोविज्ञान, मनोविज्ञान के सिद्धांतों का शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में प्रयोग है। शिक्षा मनोविज्ञान दो शब्दों से मिलकर बना है- 'शिक्षा' और 'मनोविज्ञान' । अतः इसका शाब्दिक अर्थ है-'शिक्षा संबंधी मनोविज्ञान'।So in other words we can say that it is the practical and main form of psychology and it is a science to study human behaviour in the process of education.
