दक्षिण अमेरिका में लोगों की तीन प्रजातियाँ निवास करती हैं। ये निम्नलिखित हैं-
1. अमेरिकन इंडियन
2. अश्वेत
3. यूरोपियन
इसके अलावा यहाँ पर कुछ मिश्रित प्रजातियाँ भी निवास करती हैं। ये निम्नलिखित हैं-
1. मैस्टिजो- यह अमेरिकन इंडियन और यूरोपीय प्रजाति के मिश्रण से बनी प्रजाति है।
2. मुलैटो- यह अश्वेत और यूरोपीय प्रजाति के मिश्रण से बनी प्रजाति है।
3. जैंबो- यह अश्वेत और इंडियन प्रजाति के मिश्रण से बनी प्रजाति है।
Three species of people live in South America. These are the following-
1. American Indian
2. Black
3. European
Apart from this, some mixed species also live here. These are the following-
1. Mestizo- This species is a mixture of American Indian and European species.
2. Mulato- This is a species made up of a mixture of black and European races.
3. Jumbo- This is a species made from a mixture of black and Indian races.
दक्षिण अमेरिका का इक्वाडोर, संसार में सबसे अधिक केला निर्यात करने वाला देश है। दक्षिण अमेरिका का महत्वपूर्ण रेलमार्ग 'ट्रांस-एंडियन रेलमार्ग' है। यह चिली के वालपराजो को अर्जेंटीना के ब्यूनस आयर्स से जोड़ता है। यह रेलमार्ग एंडीज पर्वतमाला के 'उस्पलाता' नामक दर्रे से होकर गुजरता है। इसके अतिरिक्त यह अर्जेंटीना के 'मेंडोज़ा' नामक शहर से भी गुजरता है। बोलीविया एवं पराग्वे दक्षिण अमेरिका के महत्वपूर्ण देश हैं। ये दोनों स्थलबद्ध देश हैं।
Ecuador in South America is the largest banana exporting country in the world. The important railroad of South America is 'Trans-Andean Railroad'. It connects Valparajo in Chile with Buenos Aires in Argentina. This railroad passes through a pass called 'Uspalata' in the Andes ranges. Apart from this, it also passes through the city of 'Mendoza' in Argentina. Bolivia and Paraguay are important countries of South America. These are both landlocked countries.
टियरा डेल फ्यूगो दक्षिण अमेरिका का महत्वपूर्ण द्वीप है। इस द्वीप पर 'उशुइया' नामक स्थान है। यह विश्व का दक्षिणतम आधिवासीय स्थान है। दक्षिण अमेरिका का सबसे दक्षिणी बिंदु 'केप हॉर्न' है।
Tierra del Fuego is an important island in South America. There is a place called 'Ushuaia' on this island. It is the southernmost inhabited place in the world. The southernmost point of South America is 'Cape Horn'.
'अरिका' दक्षिण अमेरिका का सबसे शुष्क स्थान है। यह चिली में अवस्थित है। महाद्वीप का सर्वाधिक वर्षा वाला स्थान 'क्यूबिडो' है। यह कोलंबिया में अवस्थित है। इन सबके अतिरिक्त दक्षिण अमेरिका का सबसे गर्म स्थान 'रिवाडाविया' है। यह अर्जेंटीना में अवस्थित है। यहाँ का सबसे ठंडा स्थान 'सरमेंटो' है। यह अर्जेंटीना में है।
'Arica' is the driest place in South America. It is located in Chile. 'Cubido' is the continent's rainiest place. It is located in Colombia. Apart from all this 'Rivadavia' is the hottest place in South America. It is located in Argentina. The coldest place here is 'Sarmento'. It's in Argentina.
दक्षिण अमेरिका को 'पक्षियों का महाद्वीप' के नाम से जाना जाता हैं। अर्जेंटीना के पशु फर्मों को 'एक्टांशिया' कहा जाता है। इसके साथ ही पशुपालकों को 'ग्वाचो' कहा जाता है।
South America is known as 'Continent of Birds'. The cattle firms of Argentina are called 'Ecantia'. Along with this, cattle herders are called 'guacho'.
ब्राजील सोयाबीन के उत्पादन के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। सोयाबीन उत्पादन के क्षेत्र में विश्व में संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के बाद ब्राजील का दूसरा स्थान है। इसके पश्चात् अर्जेंटीना का तीसरा स्थान है। उरुग्वे दक्षिण अमेरिका का महत्वपूर्ण देश है। यह महाद्वीप का सर्वाधिक नगरीकरण वाला देश है।
Brazil is famous for the production of soybeans. Brazil ranks second in the world in terms of soybean production after the United States. It is followed by Argentina in third place. Uruguay is an important country in South America. It is the most urbanized country on the continent.
दक्षिण अमेरिका के पेरू में 'एंग्लोबीज' नामक मछली का सर्वाधिक उत्पादन होता है। दक्षिण अमेरिका में वाल्देस प्रायद्वीप स्थित है। यह अर्जेंटीना का महत्वपूर्ण प्रायद्वीपीय क्षेत्र है। इसके निकट 'सेन मैटिआस' की खाड़ी अवस्थित है। यह अटलांटिक महासागर का एक भाग है।
Peru in South America is the largest producer of fish called 'Anglobies'. The Valdes Peninsula is located in South America. It is an important peninsular region of Argentina. Near it lies the Gulf of 'Sen Matias'. It is a part of the Atlantic Ocean.
कौरू दक्षिण अमेरिका के फ्रैंच गुयाना का महत्वपूर्ण शहर है। यह शहर फ्रांस का उपग्रह प्रक्षेपण केंद्र है। रोज़ारियो और ब्यूनस आयर्स अर्जेंटीना के महत्वपूर्ण नगर हैं। ये माँस प्रसंस्करण उद्योग के लिए विश्व में प्रसिद्ध हैं। दक्षिण अमेरिका में विषुवत रेखा कोलंबिया, इक्वाडोर और ब्राज़ील से होकर गुज़रती है। इसके साथ ही मकर रेखा अर्जेंटीना, चिली, पराग्वे और ब्राज़ील से होकर गुजरती है।
Kourou is an important city in French Guiana, South America. The city is the satellite launch center of France. Rosario and Buenos Aires are important cities in Argentina. They are world famous for the meat processing industry. In South America, the equator passes through Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil. Simultaneously, the Tropic of Capricorn passes through Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Brazil.
चिली में मकर रेखा के निकट 'एंटोफगास्ता' एवं ब्राज़ील में 'साओ-पॉलो' स्थित है। उरुग्वे दक्षिण अमेरिका का महत्वपूर्ण देश है। यह महाद्वीप एकमात्र ऐसा देश है, जो उष्णकटिबंधीय प्रदेश में स्थित नहीं है।
Near the Tropic of Capricorn in Chile 'Antofagasta' and 'So-Paulo' in Brazil. Uruguay is an important country in South America. This continent is the only country that is not located in a tropical region.
